Legislation

We have been working with our RI legislators to pass legislation that would allow us to sell the products we make to visitors of our facility. As most of you know, we are currently prohibited from selling 6-packs and cases of beer or bottles of rum from our facility to visitors. As many of you may also know, Rhode Island is the only such state in New England that prohibits this practice at its breweries and distilleries. From allowing us to come out with more and different beers and distilled spirits, to enabling larger investment in our visitors center, to helping economic growth in RI there are many reasons we feel this is practical and appropriate legislation for beer, spirits, and Rhode Island. We will post a brief on the legislation on our website in the next 24 hours and the bills can be viewed by following this link The House bill is 6169 and the identical Senate bill is 943.
