Visit Newport Storm

The Newport Storm Brewery and Thomas Tew Distillery is thrilled to open its doors to you!  Finished in the Spring of 2011, our new facility houses increased capacity, the first major technology upgrades since our start in 1999 and a welcoming Visitors Center where you can come and see how me make tasty Newport Storm Beer and Thomas Tew Rum!  

Tours and Tastings...

Our Visitors Center is open for tours and tastings Weekends and Weekdays from 12-5pm.  During opening hours, visitors may enjoy a tasting of Newport Storm Beer and/or Thomas Tew Single Barrel Rum.  Self-guided tours are available any time we are open and include views of production from our observation deck.  Guided tours leave once daily at 3pm.  We are closed Tuesdays.  No reservations are necessary for groups under ten.  

Beer tours and tastings are $7 plus tax ($7.49) and include: four Newport Storm Beer samples including our year-round beers and seasonal or experimental varieties, your souvenir tasting glass and either a self-guided or guided tour, depending on availability.  Beer tastings are a great opportunity to find out which of our Newport-brewed beers to look for on your visit to Newport's fine eateries!  Rum tours and tastings are $9 plus tax ($9.63), and include: samples of three stages of our Thomas Tew Single Barrel rum (the raw spirit, the cask strength aged rum, and the finished product), your souvenir tasting glass and either a self-guided or guided tour, depending up on availability. Rum tastings allow you to taste 'what barrel-aging does' and understand what makes Thomas Tew Single Barrel Rum so special.  

If your group is larger than ten, it is possible to set up a private tour in advance by emailing information@NewportStorm.com subject "Private Tour.  Private tours can take place at noon, 1pm, 2pm, and 4pm, depending on availability.

Last but not least, our Visitors Center has a great gift shop so you can pick up your vacation 'must haves'.  Glassware, apparel and Storm and Tew gear are available for purchase both at the Visitors Center and at our online gear store.
